Our training night is every Tuesday, very professionally run by Malcolm McOnie. All are welcome and training starts at 6:00PM.
BIKEATHON MONDAY 15TH FEBRUARY UPDATE
We had 44 riders attend our recent Bikeathon at the Rewi Street track.
In the space of 1 hr and 40 mins (it was a hot night) some furious peddling resulted in 2 riders acheiving a total of 50 Laps with another 6 riders reaching a total in the 40's. Quite an amazing effort!
Apart form the excellent stamina and endurance training, the main point of the evening was to raise funds to put towards the construction of our new track on Park Road.
We can proudly report that 23 children between them raised a total of $1,520. That is an amazing effort!
A huge basket of chocolates went to our star performer MASON JAMES who raised $310.50. Our next best gatherer (and most consistent performer) was REBECCA PETCH with $105. BRAD and MARK SEAGER was our third place getters with $100.
Also raising up to $100 for the club were Connor and Alyssa Spicer, Clay Cody Cooper and Cannon Merito,Courtney Brunton, Xavier James Jobe, Andrew Clark, Cameron Petch, Ben Vincent, Cameron Spencer, Lewis and Ruby Mellsop,
Joshua Smith, Jacob Hobbs, Dylan Gunn, Chester and Finlay Ebbett
This money is to be used to dig out the foundations of the new track at Park Road so thankyou all so much for your contribution.
We would also like to thank the sponsors who gave prizes on the night. They included:
WILKSBROOKE MOTORS LTD
AVALON CYCLES
EVOLUTION CYCLES TE AWAMUTU
HONDA HAMILTON
MAGILLS MEATS
NATIONAL CHAMPS ENTRIES
Remember National champs entries need to be submitted via the club. If you are going to be attending this years National Champs then please bring your cheque and entry form along on Monday night and give it to Susan McOnie, who will forward it on on your behalf.
